As somebody who lives about 5 minutes away from Hollywood I will say this, you are an idiot. First off the Production companies buy all the rights and contribute to the past films in the credits. Second most old films re-done are at the request of the old directors, or from popular demand. Third the reason Hollywood does it is that there really arent any other places in the world that can bring the kind of quality to a film that Hollywood production companies can. Most people know that an English production company will not look, sound, or have the graphical adaptions that a Hollywood film has, deny it if you will but it is true. Now 28 Days was an EXCELLENT British movie, I loved it but beyond that I can't think of a single British movie that I would like to see.

A good one to start on is 'The Ladykillers'

The original was made a dam long time ago and starred Alex Guiness (did I spell that right?) and was set in London.....

The shitty new version thats coming out stars Tom Hanks and is set in south america....

.....when I get back home I'll rummage up a few more but I just felt like bringing this up now....

Talk about other old films that you think have been ripped off by Hollywood etc.... especially the ones that tried to just make a quick buck by redoing a very successful old film and fell flat on their arse instead....
