I'm not going to advocate silly conspiracy theories, but I do think there's more to it than what you are suggesting mold. I mean, the skulls and bones are now assured of having the next president.

Anyhow, it doesnt really matter what I think of it anyway, but it still seems fishy to me.

The whole Skull and Bones thing is way overrated. It isn't, at least not in these times, something to be looked at too seriously. The fact the both canidates were Bonesmen shows that the society itself doesn't mean much. It used to be said that two of these folks wouldn't run against each other in politics, and that their brothers always came first. Turns out to not be too true. That club probably consists of drinking a lot, and talking about how much money you have.

That is, unless you believe they are after world domination.

I'm just glad I'm here in Europe, where people generally don't lose their head.

For the sake of the world and you guys though, I sincerely hope Kerry will flatten Bush. Even after the last 4 years of Bush undoing Clinton's wholesome deeds twice over I still like the United States... I would hate to see it diminish into a virtueless state which is at least as evil as the things it claims to be fighting.

I'm not saying I trust Kerry, Skulls and Bones seems like bad news to me regardless of the situation. But at least he's a Democrat so that should moderate him at least somewhat...

I agree with that mold, but I also agree that you should always expect the unexpected. I trust no politician running in this race.

I do not even remotely agree with that. In all realms of logic, I fail to uncover any scenario in which John Kerry's theoretical presidency could rival that of George W. Bush.

I agree entirely. Yes with Kerry there is the possibility of him being just as bad if not worse than Bush, but hey there is also a chance he could be better. With Bush we KNOW we are gonna get fucked over again by his stupidity. So I agree we have to pick one of two evils, one of those evils we know exactly how evil he is...the other we don't. Frankly, I'd rather take my chaces with the unknown than go down the Bush path again.

You can plan here who you think will win what states. Historical election data is also available. As are polls.

Leaners/Battleground states:
The last I checked there were 11 actual battleground states, where Bush and Kerry are running nearly dead even. Another 10 are leaner states.

Those battleground states ( 11 ) are:
Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Oregon.

2000 battleground states leaning towards Kerry( 3 ):
Maine, Minnesota and Washington

Battleground states leaning towards Bush( 7 ): North Carolina, Colorado, Louisiana, Arizona, Virginia, Arkansas and Missouri

Solid states:
The rest of the states are very clearly going to go for either Bush or Kerry. Listing them seems silly to me, but I will do so anyways simply because the AP report I read earlier that Coma gave me (thanks John) did not list them. These solid states are 29 states and the District of Columbia.

Solid Bush/GOP states( 18 ): Idaho, Alaska, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina

Solid Kerry/Dem states( 12 ): California, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia

For those confused with American elections: Welcome aboard. Our elections are insanely complex, bureaucractic and mismanaged.

American politics is the world's longest lasting war. It will never end. It even has maps, "battlegrounds" (states) and strategies. Whichever party wins, we lose. I guess it really is just picking who screws you over for the next four years. To cite a coming movie attraction quote: "Whoever wins, we lose".
