When you people talk about the "world" ending, and you are really talking about humanity ending, since that's all you care about. The sun is the least of your worries. We won't be around in 5 billion years, so fret not.

On the contary, i think the suicide of every human being on the planet wouldn't be an entirely bad idea. What of Earths problems wouldn't be solved? (with the exclusion of the birds that migrate being damn confused when earth's magnetic field reverses its polarity)

But true you are right, most are talking about the wiping out of the human race, when they say "the end of the world." Hence my quote from Big Fish and REM "It's the end of the world as we know it, i feel fine. "

billion years. Our sun is a medium sized star,
meaning it lives approximately 10 billion years.
It is halfway through its life, meaning it will
live 5 billion more. 10 - 5 = 5.

Although the explosion of our sun will not
immediately kill our planet, and only kill
the closest planets to it... Eventually the
whole solar system is fucked.
