I still don't understand the deal between gay people and republicans(or most repubbies anyways). In fact it was just recently determined that Abraham Lincoln had many sexual relations with men and he was our President. If he can become president then why can't gay people today become married?

You may want to look up your facts on that one.. Yes, I have heard about this so called report of Lincoln being gay. However its as credible as the weekly world news in which the Bat Boy has once again been rediscovered.. I can't believe you actually took that serious, thats very humorous.. Historians have mostly discredited this so called "gay Abraham" finding. It was a ploy to sell a book. Im curious.. do you believe everything that you hear that slams the Republican party?

Well, you liberals may love to claim how the Constitution is being violated every minute and claim how the founders' intent is being ignored, but then go off and suggest that religion shouldn't be allowed anywhere in relation to government, that homosexuals should be allowed to marry, etc.  Yet, if we look at the men who were the framers, they were all religious men.  Not to mention that they also INTENDED for blacks to be in slavery.  I'm not saying that that is a good thing, but the next time someone quotes about the framer's "intent"...

I never went off about the founding fathers OR their personal beliefs. Flat out their personal beliefs about religion and slavery couldn't mean less to me. I was talking about the Constitution. Now I am not sure about which document states that government and religion should not mix but the fact is if people 250 years ago could figure this out then why can't people today? Also we Liberals aren't suggesting this Spec, we are repeating it. Anybody who opposes this is suggesting we implement religion into our government which by all means they can do it as much as they want, but to say we are suggesting it implies that we are the evil atheists who hate god and religion or whatever the republicans say (even though I am in fact atheist).
