I do believe i am far from the ONLY one to complain about these so called "mods". I can name of lists of ppl who have had problems with them. I just happen to be being abused with what seems like no action taken against these mods, so i come to the forums instead of just letting it go. I believe I pay for a reason, and if what the paying players have to so (regardless of who they are) it should matter. If it weren't for us who pay the game would have died a long time ago. It's a very small community who has kept this game alive for so many years. I guess that doesn't mean a thing to those trying to run it. Open a vote about how ppl feel about the mods and the chat filter in the game. I can damn near guarantee a common dislike of these new "systems". And never have i said once that i want all the mods out and it's a bad idea... I've always said it's a good idea BUT i disagree with some of the selected chat mods (the reasons would be obvious if the GM's were familiar the the in game politics) and some the words chosen to be filtered. the point of this post was: RP WAS ABUSED. Not: Hey lets get rid of the mods! even the good ones!

Yeah, I was just saying that a chat mod not being able to mute a person (because they have that person ignored) isn't a huge loss. Chances are another mod will not have that person ignored and be able to pick up the slack. Plus, if someone is constantly harassing other players privately, then it might be time to deal with that person with something more than mutes.

Wu, the way you describe it, it seems more like they are closer to Moderators who are also allowed to play the game, compared with players who have chat mod privileges.

I thought that the original idea was that they would just be granted the ability to handle a situation, if they saw it, not that they were required to be monitoring chat at all times.

Plus, if there are enough players who have mod privileges (which it sounds like there are), it seems like someone else would be able to mute a player that you are ignoring.

Finally, thank you. The only problem now seems to be the individual mods opinions of what is unacceptable or over the line.

finally someone who actually agree's with me i don't believe it! the sshots are not fake, i scrolled up and took the shots later after u said i should have posted the whole convo. and u can ask muff and if he's more then a half a piece of shit he will man up to confirming that those are not edited.

Right, it's clear that rp is a jerk and doesn't have a very good sense of how to help his own cause.

That said, however, the guy who muted him this time was clearly out of line and abusing his power (assuming the sshots are real). Regardless of whether or not he's annoying, you can't just mute someone because you don't like them. The guy could have very easily just ignored him, and the problem would have been solved.

Add to the fact that isosceles probably won't be punished just because the person he's abusing isn't in the good graces of the Gms, and you can see why this whole players-as-moderators system lends itself to favoritism and rampant abuse.

Is the mod's name really "isuconcokplz" or is that just how you're referring to isosceles? And I was about ready to post something in your defense until I looked at the screenshots in both threads you started and realized that your character was apparently warping back and forth between maps during the conversation... (or more likely it's a doctored ss...)

juza i'm not a fucking idiot i probably know the meaning and spelling of more words then you. The fact of the matter is we're the only guild not full of kiss asses that just agree to changes that we don't agree with. Unlike you muff and ed who suck the gm's dick and bash us like we're the fucking bad guys. We're the community and the so called supporters of the game. More ppl in our guild have been playing this game for years and years longer then some of the abusive assholes who got mod have been. Of course we're gonna fuck with the mods who fuck with us... they want to hold fucking grudges so can we. The only diff is all they can do is mute.... we can stop them from doing just about everything else in the game. And i play VIDEO GAMES to express how immature i can be at my age and i enjoy that fact. this is a GAME ppl play to have fun and not be their self for the time being. AND on that note you so proudly posted juza... I SOLVED THE PROBLEM BY IGNORING ALL CHATS OTHER THEN T'S W'S AND GUILD... NOT EVEN TALKING IN ANY CHAT ALL GOD DAMN DAY AND I STILL GET MUTED. I STILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAIL TO SEE HOW THIS IS EVEN CLOSE TO FUCKING LEGIT. LOOK AT THE SSHOTS I POSTED FOR U FAGGOTS. the whole convo is me saying plz and explaining my fucking self while he's talking shit and being rude. Point of fact: You and most of the people (and i say most because it isn't everybody) in your guild are HABITUAL offenders to purposely abusing the new chat filter rules, do you know what the word habitual means?
The fact of the matter is, you guys aren't little kids (well i hope not at least) and shouldn't have to be told 300 million times to cut out the shit, and yous still persist; that is why now most of you don't get warned. You guys purposely and blatantly disrespect the chat filter, other players; and the people who enforce and embrace the fact that you guys are too abusive.
You guys come here to argue about it and then from what i see, and im 100% sure not the only one who sees, that you guys ( i mean the offenders ) need to just fuck off and find a better means of arguing/resolving problems/trash talking because you guys just go overboard with everything. All of these offenders need to take their immature tactics back to the playground because the grown-ups have better things to do than baby sit you guys.

Royal, you should have taken screenshots of more of your buffer than just the mute so that you could prove that you weren't saying anything. Because muting someone who isn't even talking in any of the public channels should really get their mod privs taken away.
