Well, let me try and clear this up...

You gave items to another player. The person you gave them to wasn't who you thought they were, they deceived you. It is unfortunate, but not cheating.

Players are allowed freely give items to other players at their own discretion, and own risk. The other element of deception, isn't against any rules either. I don't know how else to describe the situation. We can and will take steps to reduce impersonations in the future. But to be consistent and realistic, this is the only stance we can take on it.

The wall-walking hack/cheat: That is not acceptable. And I believe Spy is currently working on some countermeasures for that. Though, I don't understand how that is relevant to this topic really, I didn't mention people wall hacking, or cheating.

Well that's fair enough I suppose. At least you had taken the time to reply to this issue and admit there is a problem with it. Guess I'll just have to make certain to double check names in future... 

Heh... well this topic was originally about Baghy, and it was HIM doing the wall hacking... so...  Glad to know something is being done about that though. Cause unlike the cloned name thing, this isn't down to player indiscretion, it's just plain cheating/hacking!

Actually, I had been. But had moved out to do some stuff on another map. Which is how I know it was wall hacking. Cause I thought about the possability he could of stealthed through the door as I left... but then as I said, I was on another map like 7-8 minutes later when it happened... The house was locked and the character was on the upper floor concealed in the middle. So yeah... unreachable basicly! Trouble is, this stuff always happens when nobody's on to ping his location and see what he does ever...

Anyway, Baghy has clearly not brushed this under the carpet... He was wall hacking in to my house yesterday to kill my characters. (Probably for payback for making a big deal of his scam on here.)

you cant really prove people using map editing, and if you even catch it on tape , it could be lag from your side. only thing i can suggest is keep ur aura on when going afk in ur house /=

We're not neutral. It is acceptable behavior, and acceptable gameplay. Players are allowed to give game assets (items, gold, etc) to other players at their own risk, and own discretion. Players are allowed to deceive one another in-game.

Better fonts, better duplicate/similar name recognition, and offering explanations of policy in the TOS are good steps to take in minimizing the level at which people can do this sort of thing.

Got it.  Good to hear that you've made a decision on the policy and it's now settled.  I personally think it's absolutely the wrong decision, but then again it doesn't really effect me anyway.
