All USB drives have a higher failure rate than most expect. So NEVER put data you cant recover on them if u can help it.
The sandisks for me seem to hold up better.

Nine months of use. It got slow about two days ago, and today it corrupted a bunch of files. Importantly, they can't come un-corrupted by chkdsk or copying new files on top. Anyway, if you'd seen this USB drive and thought about it, well, don't buy it.
