Thoughts?</p></blockquote></div><p>Make the fee based on a % of initial listing, make the listing fee nonrefundable.&nbsp; </p><p>This cures a few problems.</p><p>People won&#039;t list things for crazy numbers that it will never sell at.<br />People won&#039;t be able to use it as extra bank/inv space.<br />People will list things at fair prices they think it will actually sell at.<br />It makes a lot more sense than the arbitrary listing cost based on item, as the code has no way to tell what actual market price is.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>For what it&#039;s worth, Myth of Empires has pretty solid marketplace mechanics. They use some rules that promote good function, and reduce abuse/lingering spam/ other shenanigans.</p><p>Some of the policies:</p><ul><li><p>Limited number of listed items for sale at one time.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Limited listing time duration.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Flat listing fee paid when you list the item. It&#039;s a percentage based.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Limited &quot;viewing only&quot; phase. Once the item is listed, it cannot be immediately removed or purchased until the cool down expires. This circumvents exploits of transporting items over far distances, or to other parties.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>You can de-list your items (after the cool down), but the list fee is still consumed.</p></li></ul>]]></content>

When I was new I listed lost artifacts on the market without knowing the price would drop.</p><p>2. Add a feature to remove a listed item (without buying it back), because if I list an item that costs more gold than what I have I&#039;m not able to get it out.</p>]]></content>
