You spell things the way they are spelled, Honour is spelled honour, valour is spelled valour, favour is spelled favour.
It was only when the white Europeans moved to America, English became their dominant language and they forgot how to spell. Perhaps Columbus was dysexlic? who knows 

The spelling is correct as 'honor', 'favor'. Technically, we have a different
language. We speak differently than them. However, almost identical, they
are different. Like a Mexicans Spanish in comparison to a Spaniards.  The
difference in language, is some slang, however, some of it is OLD. Old from
the start of the country. A way to differentiate the countries. To show, that
we are no longer English, but American. I as an American, therefore do
and always will spell these things, the American way.
