Most anime is based on manga. For example : Inuyasha, Fullmetal Alchemist, S-CRY-ED,  Ruroni Kenshin, FLCL, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sailor Moon, Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Ranma 1/2, .hack//Legend of the Twilight, Naruto, Big O, Trigun, Case Closed, just to name a few.

Even The Ring has roots in manga.  The Ring was based on a Japanese movie called Ringu, which was based on manga.


/agree Manga does own. And FLCL is the best.
