No, they don't "prove" anything, which is why I didn't claim they did. They do however, undeniably imply that he is left leaning. That's fine if you "see" him as something different, but I don't "see" any reasons to hold and buy into that belief.

Google search didn't up anything. I could obviously be wrong in my assumption, but I highly doubt that it's true. First of all, would he have been working for the Daily Show? Second- the guy won't let his kids watch the Colbert Report because he doesn't want them to see him saying the things he says. Why? Because he's doing a O'Reilly spoof, an agressive, overly-confident, right-wing immitation of one of America's finest. I doubt the guy was a Bush supporter. PLUS, he's a ridiculous Lord of The Rings fan, which is essentially about power and corruption. I doubt he regularly votes for the incumbent, let alone Cowboy George.
