Could probably run it on a free instance of EC2. It's the matter of actually managing and implementing new servers plus the headache of having to INTERACT with paying players. Just my two cents...

I don't think the majority of the remaining player base cares much for the (just prettier graphics) new client, so much as a fresh start. Everybody wants a fresh start. Everybody wants a fresh account and buy C time again.

Think of it this way.... if you actually made a second server to meet the demand, then you could spend all the time in the world working on the new client. Which will be great once it comes, but, that still wont fill the void for those masses who want a fresh game.

I'm probably being very rude by making this thread, but hey... I don't play anymore tongue At least I don't unless we had a new server wink
