Your  general life advice is sensible indeed. I think the point that was trying to be made was that Bullethead should not be trusted as far as he could be thrown. If myself and few others have to post screenshots (which did not divulge any sensitive information) to stop others from being scammed out of their cash in the future then our job is done.

Whether or not sending money as a gift for 'pixels' counts as fraudulent activity.. I don't know about that. But I do know that is the method of choice that has been used for years & I doubt players will stop any time soon. There aren't any Ms or GMs active to stop people from doing what they want at the moment anyways.

That said, the thread was full of a lot of really dumb choices, so here is some general life advice:

  1. Do not try to buy/sell things out of game.  Faldon was not built around a pay-to-win structure - it's meant to played and enjoyed.

  2. Do not paste pictures of your financial transactions on the internet.  Do I really even need to explain this?

  3. Do not lie to your financial institutions by saying a transaction is a "gift" when it is really a purchase of services or goods.  This is illegal in virtually every country in the world

  4. Repeating this again, for emphasis.  DO NOT DO #3.  This is called fraud (or tax evasion), and it's super, super illegal.

  5. If someone is asking you to break the law in this way, they are probably also willing to scam you out of your hard earned money.
