I realized the select command prompts you to right click the player you're trying to select but doesn't work.

Would be great if M's/GM's could also select players from the "who's online" list. (just like the mail and join party options)

This is also the case when selecting a roommate in a house. It prompts you to right click your target to "set" them as the target, but doesn't work.
