I was just wondering how bonus magic damages on weapons work, do they affect spell damage as well?

For example my sword has +15% Lightning Damage, does this bonus damage apply for my Chain Lightning spell as well?

It would be great if these bonuses works for particular spells as well, Mages definitely needs some decent boost.

The +15% lightning dmg is for the sword's melee attacks. Last I knew it only worked with certain items. But if you stack lightning damage and a monster is weak to lightning, sometimes you can one hit them. I feel like maybe for PvM mages could use a boost, but currently as it sits for PvP i don't think warriors have a shot against mages. Mainly because you can't step anymore, there's really no use for the berserker skill as it sits.
