Topic: 2026/2/11 Update

The next thing will be to make the map editor more usable. It has a lot of irritating problems.
After that I need to change the map file format so that revision numbers are inside the map file itself and can't get lost. This is also important for making save/load useful. (It would make the editor able to tell what parts of the map have actually been changed.)

February 11, 2026:
The map editor can now upload. Right now, it can only do so for maps loaded online and not those loaded from disk.

Tried the upload, seems to work fine. Used the flood fill feature to fill a large section of grass with water on map 3, probably changed like half the map, upload went smooth.

One minor thing: when uploading it says "There are 0 sectors left." after every sector, so something is not counting properly.

Oof, I was worried about the flood fill feature in regard to this. It seems like a great way to make horrible mistakes. smile

Yes, I'll be fixing the "There are 0 sectors left." It actually says that because it's downloading them from the server right after it uploads them. I'm going to make it just not say anything for "0 sectors".
