Topic: Macroing

Many of you are not understanding the rules we have set here.  Macroing is illegal at any time when you can not respond.  I will be strictly enforcing this, and do not want to hear excuses.  If you can not respond, turn off the macro.  Do not think you can play another game, watch TV etc.. and return being released from jail.  It will not happen.

Agree'd (I don't mean to reopen an old post) however all these people that think they're "GOD" at this game are only good because they macroed their way to the top. That's why we need more Ms, I understand GMs are extremely busy. That's why Ms are around. smile

Re: Macroing

In Reply to username's comments about having more Ms, Its quite apparent that after someone gets promoted to M or GM they seem to become less active as time goes on, in which case i believe that there are enough Ms and GMs in the game, to add more would just be stupid.

Also, i believe players that are promoted to M/GM status should have some credentials, for instance spy is a great choice for his scripting abilities, don't just choose randoms who are just active all day who have little or no knowledge of scripting/editing or w.e, that would be pointless.

I suppose most of the ones i remember have become inactive, which supports what i said earlier ( that most become inactive once they acquire M), however given that you havent commented on the fact that i believe newly appointed M/GMs should be appointed based on ability rather than their activeness as a player, i take it that you agree with me there.

Re: Macroing

Yes I agree, however. Most of those people have been playing for a long time and eventually got bored. Theres people that aren't M's that are slowly dying off. Not to go against what you're saying. But there are some people that would be excellent choices. They have the knowledge neccessary to be atleast an M. Not to mention there are some decent scriptors on Faldon, they're just hidden. smile

Re: Macroing

I would hope so, but for any person's abilities to be evident i believe before an M is appointed he/she should be tested on his ability to script, edit and modify. In my opinion, the last few appointments have been on the basis of popularity of the player itself rather than ability to script, edit, modify and so on. I only commented on this to emphasize the point of appointing Ms with the appropriate skills and abilities in order to improve/enhance gameplay as well as the art of items/monters, etc.

Re: Macroing

there needs to be more Ms to macro check on a regular basis as spy, although a good GM, only macro checks once or twice a day and people know when he logs so they know when they can afk macro
