Topic: things that faldon needs... FAST

Ok so lets get this straight... this is a "small" list of stuff that faldon needs... and FAST!
I will update this list as soon as i recieve replies.

LIST:

- Be able to delete characters;
I have this problem, i wanted to delete a character i dont play anymore and i can't.... wow....

- Add more itens for Mages;
This game is not mage-friendly.... how many usefull staffs there are for mages? 5? something like that? how many itens there are for warriors? 50+ if we include swords, axes, polearms and maces.
How many good armors for mages? probably mage robe and some few other armors. How many good armors for warriors? Lots of them.

- Make Mage stats more balanced;
the 2 mainly used stats are magic and int... we can compare int to statmina and magic to cons. But what stats compare to strength? none... strength adds damage, while int only increases mana.
My suggestion: Make int increase spell damage, or magic, i really dont care. But to make it fair, make it like 5 int/mag 1 bonus damage... its up to you to decide.

- Make defence a usefull stat;
Defence is the most useless stat in faldon... at least make it add some resistances or shit like that.

- Make manage account on the website USEFULL;
You can't do shit on the manage account other than becoming a citizen.... you can't change password, change mail or something.

- Add more quests for low levels
Low levels have very few quests.... why don't add some killing quests? they are fun.

- Add more spells (not a very important thing, but can help mages)
We need more buff spells... why not add a vampiric spell that sucks health from your opponents?

NEW: - Add a way to change characters/accounts without exiting the game
While not a very important improvement, it could be usefull to players that need change characters frequently.

You used Faldon and fast in the same sentence =O

As for the suggestions;

- Character deletion is a big no, atleast for the current server. As it is now people don't expect it to be possible to have characters deleted so they share (even though they shouldn't) their characters. It's kind of like the feature that was removed from the website, where it would show the email address tied to an account and people reactivating expired emails to ancient accounts and picking them clean.

- Yes, we do need a bigger variety of mage items, Faldon is very geared towards warriors. We can't add too many though, the client can only handle like 500-ish.

- Yes, I do think int should affect spell damage on some spells.

- Defense is just completely worthless, I'd like it to be removed or given a proper purpose. As to what that purpose may be, I don't know.

- As for account management on the website, yes it should have more features, but not with the current server. As I said before, people share accounts and don't expect things like email to be changed.

- Well... yes, we don't have many quests...

- More spells would be nice but that'll have to wait till new client as the current client is limited to only 60 spells.


The big problem though is that for everything on that list (except quests I guess) we need Zer... who has been MIA for a while now. I don't think he wants to put a lot of development effort into the current server and would much rather work on a future version.

I do have to say that if we are able to delete characters next client, we should only be able to do it while their beneath a certain level.

Otherwise the only high level characters left after the decimation of characters with known accounts will be the brazillians.  tongue

its ok Rick, i understand that the main problem is the current client and the fact that Zer doesn't gives a fuck about this game.... still i would like improvements because if people work hard enough this game can beat runescape and other shitty games. it just needs people that care about the game. I know master Wu has done an awesome job but we need more people that can make the game much better...

as kinda off-topic question, do you guys have an idea when is the new client comming? will it allow to put more features?

New client will make it possible to add more features yes. As for when it'll be ready I honestly don't know. We thought we would have a beta like around this Fall but we didn't plan on Zer taking a break longer than a month.

Grammar police! But anyway, this game definitely needs a bigger development team. And a more dedicated creator. If he doesn't want to work on Faldon anymore, all he has to do is say it. No ones going to cry about it unless he completely shuts the game down (which he shouldn't do). But idk, its just my humble opinion saying what I say. And i have this terrible habit of quitting Faldon and coming back. I just hope that when the new client actually comes out, its a complete overhaul from the old client. If its not completely mind blowing Faldons never going to grow like it should have years ago.
