Humans and elves competing suggestion

New ideas that will make this idea work.

When you die or enter the game you will receive options of where it is possible for your character to spawn. When you enter the game as a new player you will only have your starting town to spawn at. When you create a character you will also have to decide whether it is your character will be elf or human.

The Beginning towns and the surrounding areas.

For this to work Faldon should have two main races Human and Elf race. Both of these races should start in separate newbie towns very far apart from each other. These towns will have all the functions of Valour. For example different NPCs to buy spells, equipment, and consumable items. There will also be NPCs to buy consumable items that monsters might drop.  There will also be a large number for town guards who do not only attack murderers of their own race but also attack members of the other race upon sight. There should also be two separate sets of newbie e monster spawns such as ants, mice, bats, slimes, goblins, skeletons, orcs as well as a dragon cave and a dire wolf cave to move onto. Although the elf race and the human race is closer to their surrounding spawns and caves it will not be impossible to travel further and visit the opposing races spawns, caves or town. It will be impossible to interact with the opposing races NPCs in the opposing races starting town.

The main town

This town will be different as the two races will have to constantly compete to gain control of it as well as its two surrounding outposts. The first outpost should be closer to the to the human newbie town, the second outpost should be closer to the Elven newbie town. In order to gain control of an outpost and therefore spawn there. You and members of your own race should enter the outpost building, when a single player or a team of players enter a sixty minute timer will begin on a single player (whoever is the highest level in the team) after that hour has passed this player or team will win this outpost for his or her race. The opposing race and your own race will also receive a notification and a timer on their screen letting them know somebody is trying to claim an area. Their team will now be able to spawn near this outpost close to the main city. If the highest level in the team is killed whilst trying to defend the outpost, the timer will restart and be given to the next highest level in the outpost area. When all the members of the attacking race have been killed the timer will disappear. In the main town itself you can expect to find a major citadel which can be taken over in the same way. This will allow your race to spawn inside the city itself. The main city will have NPCs that you might expect to find in Midguard meaning NPCs that sell spells and equipment for suitable for higher levels as well as NPCs that pay slightly higher rates for items. You will not be able to interact with these NPCs until your race has taken over the cities citadel.  Surrounding this town you can expect to find monsters such as tigers, Bengal tigers, stone golems, Rock titans, red dragons, wyrms, silver dragons, green dragons and many more high level monsters. These will be accessible to all races at any time but your race will not be able to spawn in these areas unless they have claimed a nearby outpost or the citadel.

That is my suggestion the benefits of this suggestion will include a main objective for all Faldon players, more fun with team PvP. I also hope this will help create a sense of Faldon community, as helping characters of the same race will be helping your race become stronger.

Re: Humans and elves competing suggestion

Since glancing over the art for the new client i'm now beginning to wonder if Roman Soldier/Saracen Knight would be a better suggestion for the new client. As i've seen some items that remind me of what a roman centurian might have worn and others that remind of what a saracen from saladins might have worn. Really the two teams could be anything, it's the new grand scale competitive element that would give faldon a unique edge.

Sooo your saying you want faldon to become like WoW??

I think the religions were originally meant to do something like this but it failed epically as the religions were never properly finished.

I don't know if limiting use of NPCs/features in a town to those who happen to be of the race that 'owns' the town is a good idea though. For that to work there'd have to be a really good balance between the two races.

Perhaps the new client will have something similar to this? As in religous PvP will be a more important aspect of the game?

I don't know. I have never played WoW is my idea really that similar to WoW? I know it's not the same because i created the idea alone.

I hope it'll play a bigger role yes but it will have to wait till after the new client is finished and work begins on a new or overhaul of the current server.
