Topic: Why wont you just make a new server?

Can I just get it out there and ask why you guys (Wu, Zer) just don't launch another server?

I don't think the majority of the remaining player base cares much for the (just prettier graphics) new client, so much as a fresh start. Everybody wants a fresh start. Everybody wants a fresh account and buy C time again.

Think of it this way.... if you actually made a second server to meet the demand, then you could spend all the time in the world working on the new client. Which will be great once it comes, but, that still wont fill the void for those masses who want a fresh game.

I'm probably being very rude by making this thread, but hey... I don't play anymore tongue At least I don't unless we had a new server wink

Because there isn't enough income to prolly even pay for the current server.

Well, since there is no more then 10 people that would play anyway, they could probably run it off the same computer in his basement.

They ran the "Test Server" on top of the regular server. However I don't know how that entirely works.

So let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me "V"

Re: Why wont you just make a new server?

our server has potential for upwards of 200+ players i believe, and since we have what i can tell to be a maximum of 15-20 unique ip's, it should be no problem to run a new fresh version on top of the current mess that is faldon.

Re: Why wont you just make a new server?

I think the real problem is a lack of interest... server time for a game like this would be cheap cheap cheap. Could probably run it on a free instance of EC2. It's the matter of actually managing and implementing new servers plus the headache of having to INTERACT with paying players. Just my two cents...
