Topic: Election Day in Canada

tongue  Well here in Canada we are going to the polls to elect the fools who will be stealing and screwing us over for the next 4 years. I myself voted for the NDP (New Democratic Party). They are a bunch of leftists, mostly university students and unreformed hippies.
Not that I consider myself a leftist or a commie, I just feel that they should have a chance to rip off the people like the other major parties. In my area I found out that the local Marijuana Party folded like a cheap suit a couple of months ago. Those were the people for whom I was going to vote.
Woulda been nice if they would have actually got in to office. If the US gubmint passes its draft law, we would have had lots of young Americans coming up to avoid the draft and smoke the sacred herb.
Ah well, mayhap in four years,eh? roll

I do not look  to closely at the past, for the future is where I plan to spend the rest of my life.

Re: Election Day in Canada

Heya Roger...

Well, as I predicted on the other board, we fucking elected another Liberal freaking government.  At least it's a minority.  Now this means that we have the likelyhood of returning to the polls within two years...likely in 2 months...all it takes is for the Liberals to lose a vote in the House Of Commons and then a motion of "non-confidence" to be introduced and the Liberals losing that.

Sadly, Quebec voted with it's collective head up it's ass again...electing the party of traitors known as the BQ (Bloc Quebecois).  Our best hope remains with the NDP swinging the balance of power in key votes.

/sigh

Re: Election Day in Canada

I am SO glad that the Liberals won...
If the conservatives had won, I would have left the country wink
I do wish that the NDP had gotten more seats though.
