Topic: Odd, isn't it?

Why do hot dogs come in packages of eight when hot dog buns come in packages of six?

If you get scared half to death twice, what happens?

Why do they call it marmalade when it isn't made out of marbles?

What do they use the giblets in turkey for?

And, last but not least, does your toilet really explode when you hook up an air compressor to the outgoing water main? I've heard stories about the geyser from hell, and man, that would be one of the best pranks to pull. Especially on a public building.

It is high time I put something intelligent here.

Re: Odd, isn't it?

1. Hot dog packages come in 8...not 6..I have never seen 6.

2. Nothing...as it is referring to two different times, it is most likely you'll have recovered from the first time. Its also just a figure of speech.

3. The prefix Mar does not automatically refer to marbles.

Re: Odd, isn't it?

Umm in answer to the last one. I worked at a mechanics shop for a while and we had a very similar setup.

The air-compressor that ran all the air tools was tapped into the pipes and at the press of a button we could send a surging burst of air up through the toilet.

Trust me if you saw the face of some of the truck drivers faces when they came outta there you would know how hard we used to laugh.

We had to uninstall it though because all the employees (including me) became too afraid to use the toilet incase the boss used it. So we used to walk up to the public bathrooms about 20min away instead.

Well im not quite sure what you mean but there is a nice italian dish my nanna makes from Chicken Giblets its called Durae.
And i have made it from Duck giblets.
So i would assume you could also make it from turkey giblets.

If your unsure of the actual meaning of the word. The giblets are the muscles used to crush the grain in the stomach of the birds. They are not actually the "guts" of the turkey.

Why is slitting the throat of your victims with a scythe so much more effective than an axe other than the curved blade?

Destroyer of Worlds

Re: Odd, isn't it?

Because the scythe is a versitle curved weapon, with a striking point larger then a sword with the handle. It also creates a bloodier image, which inturn creates more of a "user satisfaction" in the brain of the weilder. Pluss it curves so it is better the neck.
