Re: Album Recomendations

I recommend Swine of Satan - Battles in the Farm (2003)

The entire album can be downloaded at http://swineofsatan.free.fr/
if you know your black metal bands some of the titles will be funny  8)
The entire album was written and produced by Christian Farmer (apart from their cover of Lost Wisdom) and the musical talent is brilliant.
Leeks of Doom, Swine of Satan, Farmyard Beasts and Lost Wisdom are must-haves  lol

Re: Album Recomendations

In the kitchen garden, behind the farm
was a secret treasure hidden from their sight
There stood the leeks, all two feet tall
Majestic and grim, they pierced the night

So a Swine sneaked out of the farm,
wandering beneath the burning night
Reaching the garden, he stole some leeks,
trampling the bejeweled slugs
- anyway they would die !

The Farmer's baby will be baptized,
impaled on the leeks of doom !
Here's the device of their demise,
the Winged Hog is coming soon !
Through the blood of Sacrifice
we celebrate the Crimson Moon !
For the Horned Pig will rise
to uphold His reign of gloom !

Walking back into the battle
raging in the middle of the farmyard
He'd crush the rabbits with this Sceptre of Doom
and take on the barns...

Re: Album Recomendations

Ablum pick this week:

Magnolia Electric Company - Trials and Errors.

It's the guy from Songs:Ohio's other band....it's really good kind of folk/country.

I also picked a few more cds this week.  Some of the better ones were

Seventh Gate -Potrayal of an American Terrorist. - Good doom metal band...I would check it out...I think only like 100 of this cd were pressed.

Echo Me, Astronaut - Looks Like the Cowards Have Won - It's really lo-fi, but it sounds like of like a mix between a young elliot smith, bright eyes and violent femmes....I think in a few years, these guys will be really good.

Oh, and I'm sorry about not getting those mp3s to you yet, Crovax....I still don't have a steady internet connection on my computer and it's such a hassle to move my roommate's modem and hook up the DSL in my room....that and once I do hook it up, for some reason, the connection won't repair for a few hours...I'm only living here for like three more months and I will be doing some traveling for some of it so I'm just going to wait until I get a new place in January before I get my own internet connection.
