Man, you guys seriously do not understand.
IF WE RELEASE THE MAP WITHOUT CROV AND I MAKING IT THE WAY IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE, IT IS GOING TO BE BORING AND LAME, AND YOU ARE ALL GOING TO HATE IT.
We aren't going to release a worthless POS map, even if we had the option of bulldozing crov's town and putting a bunch of huge pointless buildings there to fill space.

I personally don't care when you release the new map... BUT when you do.. Make sure you put an NPC in some of the towns to allow people to choose this as there main spawn location. Also put in a NPC that allows you to change Valour to your spawn point.. I am tired of Agilityman always spawning in Wuville...

I'm not one to point out the obvious or anything but I think this Topic is done. Unless someone wants to continue talking about the new map or scripts, this is a dead topic. It has turned off subject and is full of animosity. Lothar plans to write scripts in his free time in the summer which is a good thing. I'm not sure if Mumblee can or not or if he said he will or not, but as a GM (not sure if active, I havent played in a while) he should probably give his input on it

Mumblee WHY do you need Crov? Why can't you make it the way it
was "supposed to be" without him? He is not a god, he can be replaced.
Is there something specific he can do that you can't???

No, you did not have evil town all planned out, you had "Evil greater metropolitan area with a downtown and suburbs and an industrial district and housing developments and stripmalls" all planned out.
You don't seem to understand, filling space doesn't make for good content. Adding NPCs doesn't make for good content. Story, lore, reusability, and playability are what make for good content. This is the reason the map was taking so long with Crov and I working on it. Sure, we could pump out 20 cookie cutter buildings and 20 clone NPCs, but that would last about 10 minutes and then people would never come back. Making exclusive NPCs also is not a good way to make a town useful. All that serves to do is make people HAVE TO go there, but then they immediately leave again. You need to make people WANT to stay there. That's the trick.
As for Crov's part in this, much of the remaining content is still in his head. Since neither I nor any of the other Gms possess psychic powers, we aren't very capable of "finishing" the job for him.
As for FB's comment, that's something that Crov, Aaron, Cat and I discussed in decent detail, and I can't remember what we settled on but suffice it to say that at times we had much more ambitious plans than even what you mentioned. That's definitely something that I want to see, though.[/u][/i]

Zammbi got GM taken away? If Crov said he is done then Mumblee can do the planning now. There are no other GMs active it seems and I know Mumblee cant map edit and script the entire map himself. If Lothar wants to script, Mumblee could give him an idea or gameplan what ideas are flowing through his head. I could script myself also but Coma never got back to me on that one so I took it as a no. Not sure who else could help but I do think it's funny that the citizens of faldon are the ones creating it instead of those who were appointed. Not much else to say...

Yeah, I talked to Crov the other day. He's not adverse to the idea, he's just been busy with stuff, and had issues with the way certain things were going, much like what led to my absence.
